Parental Notification of Sexually Explicit Materials

King George County School Board adopted policy IIA to address the use of instructional materials in in schools. 
The review process is continual as new instructional materials are obtained by the school division. 

Notification and Review Process

• Parents and guardians will receive written notice at least 30 days prior to the use of any instructional materials with sexually explicit content.
• Parents and guardians have an opportunity to review the materials.
• Schools and teachers will provide alternative instructional materials at the request of the parent or guardian.
